Japan headquarters

Our headquarters, procurement operation and export consolidation sit in Japan — at the source of most of the world’s outboard engine manufacturing.

Sourcing at source

Being in Japan changes what is obtainable rather than what is fast. The fast-moving lines are available everywhere. What proximity buys is the long tail: superseded numbers, low-volume components, and parts for engines that left production years ago but are still working every day in commercial fleets.

Our procurement team works those enquiries directly rather than returning a "not available" from a stock file. That is the difference between a distributor and a warehouse.

  • OEM sourcing through established domestic channels
  • Long-tail, superseded and discontinued parts research
  • Specialist and low-volume inventory
  • Japanese domestic market and international specification engines

Export consolidation

Mixed orders — a complete engine, two lower units and four hundred service parts — are consolidated into single shipments and loaded for the destination, rather than shipped as separate consignments that arrive weeks apart and clear separately.

  • Air freight for urgent service parts
  • LCL consolidation for mixed orders
  • Full container loading for programme supply
  • Documentation prepared for the destination market

Specification discipline

Engines built for the Japanese domestic market, for international markets and for the United States are different products with different compliance positions. We catalogue them separately and confirm which is being quoted before an order is placed — because the alternative is an engine held at a border.

Sourcing something hard to find?

Send us the number, the engine or a photograph. Long-tail sourcing enquiries are routine work for our Japan desk, not an exception.
