Quote-only supply

Complete repower packages

A repower is not an engine. It is an engine plus everything needed to install and operate it, and quoting the engine alone produces a surprise halfway through the job. We specify and quote the whole installation.

What a package includes

  • Engine Components components

    Engine

Correct shaft length, rotation, start and control type for the hull and installation.

  • Propellers components

    Propeller

Sized to hull, load and target wide-open-throttle RPM — not whatever was on the old engine.

  • Yamaha - 703 Side Mount Mechanical Control Box - 703-48207-22-00, representing controls & rigging

    Controls

Binnacle, side-mount or top-mount; mechanical or digital, matched to the engine.

  • Steering components

    Steering

Hydraulic, mechanical or electronic, sized for single, twin or triple installation.

  • Instrumentation components

    Gauges

Analogue or digital displays with the correct senders and network components.

  • Electrical & Ignition components

    Harnesses & key switch

Correct lengths for the rigging run, plus key and kill switch panels.

  • Mounting & Brackets components

    Mounting & rigging

Transom hardware, rigging tubes, grommets and installation accessories.

  • Service & Maintenance components

    First service kit

The consumables the first scheduled service will need, supplied with the package.

What we need from you

Four things get a repower specified correctly, and all four are quick to establish:

  1. Hull make, model and length. This sets the power range and the propeller starting point.
  2. Transom height. Measured vertically at the centreline, from the top of the transom to the lowest point of the hull bottom. This decides shaft length, and it is the one thing that cannot be corrected afterwards with an adapter.
  3. Single, twin or triple. On multi-engine rigs, one engine is normally counter-rotating, which changes the gearcase and the propeller.
  4. Control preference. Mechanical or digital, and where the control head will be mounted.

Setback brackets and jack plates

Mounting on a setback bracket or jack plate raises the effective transom height, frequently by five to ten inches, and usually requires the next shaft length up. Confirm the bracket rise before specifying rather than after the engine arrives.

Why these are quote-only

A repower package is a specification exercise, not a product with a price. The right answer depends on the hull, the load, the installation and the market the boat operates in — and getting it wrong is expensive for the installer, not for us. So we specify it first, then quote it.
