Catalogue policy

How catalogue records are verified, what availability labels mean, and how product images are used.

Draft — pending legal review. This page is a working draft prepared alongside the site build. It reflects how the site actually operates, but it has not been reviewed by qualified legal counsel and is not a substitute for advice. It must be reviewed and adopted before launch.

Every product is a real product

Every record published in this catalogue represents an actual, identifiable manufacturer product. We do not create placeholder products, invented model numbers or generated part numbers to make a category look populated. A buyer searching a real part number must never land on one we made up.

Each record carries, internally, the source it was verified against, the type of that source, the date of verification and who reviewed it. Records we cannot substantiate are not published.

Where a part number is confirmed but its application is not corroborated across sources, the record is published as provisional and says so on the page. We would rather show a caveat than assert fitment we cannot support.

Catalogue is not warehouse stock

The catalogue represents our supply capability, not the contents of a shelf on a given morning. Products fall into two commercial groups, and both belong here:

  • Held in our inventory — stocked across our United States and Japan warehouses.
  • Available through our supply network — sourced to order through our procurement operation.

A zero warehouse quantity does not mean a product is unavailable, which is why nothing on this site says "out of stock". Availability is shown per item using controlled labels — *U.S. Warehouse*, *Japan Warehouse*, *In Stock*, *Incoming*, *Available Through Supply Network*, *Available to Source*, *Special Order*, *Limited Availability*, *Contact for Availability*, *Superseded*, *Discontinued* — so you can see which route applies before you ask.

Exact warehouse quantities are commercially sensitive and are not published. They are issued to account holders in a dated spreadsheet.

Product images {#images}

Product images are for identification and illustration purposes only. Actual product appearance, packaging and included components may vary by model, production batch, market specification and manufacturer updates.

Images are not a representation of the specific serialised unit that will be shipped.

Where model-specific imagery is available we use it. Where it is not, a representative category-level image may be shown, and it remains illustrative. We do not present an image of one model as another, and we do not generate product photography artificially.

Image rights are tracked per asset. An image is published only where we hold a manufacturer asset, a licence, a distributor-supplied asset, or our own photography. Anything whose rights position is unresolved is held for review rather than published.

Specifications

Specifications are published only where verified. Where a figure is not available it is left blank or marked for confirmation rather than estimated. We do not infer emissions eligibility, market specification or compatibility from a model designation.

Corrections

If you identify an error in a catalogue record, tell us and we will correct it. Accuracy in a parts catalogue is a commercial obligation, not a courtesy.
